James Hawkesford

James is a Chartered Surveyor, Estate Agent & Auctioneer having been in the profession for over 30 years. He has been the managing director of the firm since 2008.
He has been coming to the Island all of his life and when the opportunity arose to open a branch in Alderney it was too challenging not to give it a go.
Whilst he is not involved in the day to day running of the office he regularly visits the Island and is able to provide RICS compliant reports and surveys on both residential and commercial properties.
Frank Venton

Frank has been running our Alderney branch since October 2019, starting with 5 properties the business has expanded with currently 43 properties on our books, 12 are on our private list.
Frank was a civil servant in Jersey for 18 years, then set up his own marketing and advertising company and built it up over 18 years to become one of the largest in Jersey, in 2000 Frank moved into property development and built a port folio of properties.
Frank’s mother and Grand Parents are Alderney born and bred, The Mignot family go back to 1645, Frank has spent many summers in Alderney since a small boy, he moved to Alderney in 2013, to project manage the construction of 9 flat and 4 houses for the Alderney Housing Association, he was then approached by James Hawkesford in 2019 to manage the Alderney branch of Hawkesford Estate Agents.
With Franks experience in marketing, property development and project management in construction, he was the perfect choice to run the Estate Agency, and is proving to be a valued asset for the company.
Fran Trathen
Office administrator
Fran joined the Alderney branch in November 2019, she is responsible for the office administration, reception, and secretarial duties.
Fran has been in office administration and secretarial duties for over 30 years, initially working in the construction industry in the UK for 10 years, before moving to Alderney in 1997 Fran worked for the managing director of a local radio station in Somerset.
She moved to Alderney and worked for a small office bureau in the main street and was the first to set up an ‘internet café’ on the island, with the advent of home computers and printers, and fits perfectly with her part time post at Hawkesford.
